Sheling is a British writer who lives in Bristol with her son, some cats, a couple of fish and a blood-thirsty chinchilla.

Though making a career in opinion and commentary writing, Sheling's roots are in fantasy: at the meagre age of 4, she was creative consultant for Tolkein's "Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring" and was almost entirely responsible for the whole zany Tom Bombadil bit.

She is Mike's No. 1 fan, and has several restraining orders to prove it, and has been a member of the Connovar team since its inception.

She still hopes to get Peter Jackson in court one of these days.
